There’s a 99% chance you’ll break up in the next year, so not very much.

Making something special is a whole lot more meaningful than buying something special.

$20 or $30 at the most. Remember you’re young it’s not like its your wedding anniversary.

mabye you could take him out for his birthday! like have a party with all his friends at his favorite resturant and then you two can go to a movie or somewere alone and spend some time together. If you can draw then give him an awsome painting of what he likes or give him his favorite cd.

That depends on how much you got and how much you care. If you got so much cash that you don’t care then spend away. If you got as much money as I did at that age, then he’s lucky he’s getting anything. I would buy a nice frame for the picture your giving him. That would make me happy to receive. Hope this helps.

I think the watercolor painting already works as a nice gift since homemade things are always the most genuine. If you don’t think it’s enough, though, maybe you could just get some candy or food or something. A guy’s stomach is often as big as his heart. xD One reason you don’t want to go too overboard on gifts is because your boyfriend could feel bad if he doesn’t go that far. If you’re really not sure, you could always buy something extra and leave it in your car or another place. Open your gift from him and if it seems extravagant compared to yours, say, “Wait! I have another surprise for you!” or something and go get the gift. It’s a little tricky, but not exactly dishonest. Do whatever you feel comfortable with on that one, lol.
Also, congrats!

i’m sure he’ll appreciate how much thought you put into it compared to how much money you put into it.

Well my boyfriend and i just celebrated our one year too. We are very confident that we are going make it through highschool. I am also 16. and so is he. We both have jobs so we both spent a reasonable amount of money. I was luckyy, i wanted to get him a watch, it was originally $150 i was kinda thinking that was out of the price range, becuase i wasn’t looking to spend anything really over 70. I felt like that was too much for our age. After a lot of sales, and an accidental ring up i got the watch for $15. Good thing he doesnt know that. haha. Soo yeah idk dont go too nuts. It alsoo depends on how much you like him and how long u think you’re going to last. If you dont think you are get something simple.
The water color painting is a great idea. I gave my boyfriend a picture of me for one holiday and he loved it. he liked that it was a simple gift but there was a lot of thought put into it. I dont know how other guys feel about this, but i know that my bf doesnt like me to spend a lot of money and likes it better if i get him something that i made or something that has meaning and doesnt cost much.
One year anniversarys are hard though cause you want to show him how much you lovee him. I really think it depends on how much you are willing to spend and what he likes. At the same time you could get him something nice and make him a really cute card.
